In the midst of the destruction, we are advised to at least recycle. California does not recycle Styrofoam because it is a very expensive process. Styrofoam has a 200-year life cycle and is filling our landfills and dumps. The juxtaposition of recyclable materials presented as sculpture, combined with negative images of pollution creates a whimsical and incongruously humorous, yet compelling political statement.

Postmodern Trash consists of recycled Styrofoam and Plastics tied together with rubber tubing to create sculptural frames that present themselves like television sets or miniature architectural sites. These frames are then "filled" with digitally manipulated photographic montages of war and pollution and personal paintings printed on Mylar.
