As we sit eating our morning cereal we make a series of complex decisions that will affect the world as we know it. Each day we consume, defecate, and pollute, inadvertently covering the earth with garbage, pile high trash heaps of un-recyclable materials. GOT MILK? Uses milk cartons to open the discussion about the individual's contribution to this postmodern tragedy and the importance of at least recycling.
GOT MILK? consists of manipulated photographs adhered to recycled milk cartons covered with acrylic medium, ground pumice, and acrylic paint in red, black, brown and gray hues. Milk cartons are then placed on white bookshelves in a triangular configuration. At the apex of the triangle hangs an original landscape painting.
